Project information

To improve the building’s energy efficiency, the works were carried out within the ALTUM support program and in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 880. Before construction began, a building renovation project and an energy audit were prepared.

Within the project, the following works were completed:

  • repair of cracks in the façade and staircases, strengthening of structures;
  • insulation of the external walls and plinth;
  • insulation of the basement ceiling;
  • insulation of the attic floor;
  • demolition of roof structures, installation of roof hatches;
  • reconstruction of the roof above the staircases, replacement of the roof covering;
  • renewal of the rainwater drainage system;
  • repair of chimneys;
  • removal of glass blocks in the staircases;
  • partial replacement of windows and doors;
  • renovation of the building’s loggias, replacement of railings;
  • installation of lightning protection;
  • necessary renovation works of the building’s water supply, sewage and heating networks.

As a result of the renovation, the building’s heating consumption has decreased from 139 to 44 kWh/m² in the 2024/2025 heating season. The total achieved heat energy saving is 55%. According to the temporary certificate, the building’s heating consumption is rated at 56 kWh/m².
